Big happenings at Kehillath Shalom Synagogue this weekend!
Friday Night
Come welcome shabbat with Rav Greg and the Hey class. With a special reading by Aiden in honor of his 13th birthday!
Then, immediately following services there will be a Social Action Committee Forum.
The Social
Action Committee invites you to meet Debbie Rimler, Director of Tri Community
Youth Agency, on April 24, after Friday night services. Tri-CYA Center provides
a safe, supportive space for children and youth to go after school until 9 pm
and on Saturdays in the Huntington Station area. Our committee updated the teen
room with newly painted walls.
Please come to KSS on Friday, April 24th, and bring a friend to learn more
about this Center from the director Debbie Rimler, who has worked for this Community
Center for over 30 years.
If anyone has been thinking of doing volunteer work,
now is the time you are needed to help children after school in all grades with
homework. www.tricya.org/

Jewish Conceptions of G-d: Lecture and Discussion - Sunday, April 26th at 10 am
Judaism is an evolving religious civilization, and so our notions of divinity have changed over time. Within the Torah, itself, there are several different theologies at play. In this class, we will explore the theologies of prominent Jewish thinkers throughout history. We will also have time to discuss our own ideas regarding
G-d and how we experience divinity in our daily lives.
